I started treatment in late November for issues springing from a lower spine curvature. Walking was painful and walking up stairs was nearly impossible. Halfway through the course of treatment I am very happy with my progress. I can walk without limping, and can easily walk the stairs. The rest of the decompression therapy will be icing on the cake! I have found the staff to be knowledgeable and very supportive. The 16 minutes on the table is so very relaxing. I am happy that I have given this therapy a chance.

I feel fortunate to be a patient with Genesis at ALC. The entire staff is interested in your body feeling closer to optimal, and they curate a treatment plan designed to that end. For me specifically, I have a neurological disorder that makes communication from my brain to my body a little tricky….combine that with nerve and disc issues in my neck, and it makes regular motion even more difficult. The staff at Genesis organized a treatment plan starting with decompression of my neck that produced noticeable progress in short order. My weak/numb left arm and leg were improved to the level of full functionality, and neck pain greatly diminished. It’s a clean/safe environment with knowledgeable and friendly staff ready to help and adjust to your body. Sessions are less than half an hour so it’s not a major time commitment en route to a healthier life.

Dr. Patzer received certifications in Chiropractic Sports and Spinal Trauma in 1995 and Chiropractic Orthospinology in 1998. He has expanded his expertise through NUCCA, Atlas Orthogonal seminars, and Chiropractic Bio Physics courses. While specializing in upper cervical care, he also treats the full spine and extremities. Dr. Patzer serves on multiple boards, including The Society of Orthospinology and Parker University Alumni Board. He and his wife Kellye, who has mentored chiropractors for 20 years, attend 8 to 10 seminars annually to continue their professional growth.

Dr. Nathan Girao, D.C.

Dr. Nathan Girao is an upper cervical chiropractor at Austin Life Chiropractic dedicated to helping patients restore their health and improve their quality of life through a thoughtful, patient-centered approach. A former collegiate soccer player at Bellarmine University, he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic, where he developed a deep appreciation for how the body functions as an integrated system and its ability to heal when properly supported.
