I think this place should be listed as the EIGHTH WONDER OF THE WORLD because before coming here I was in such agony I felt like I was going to die, but after only 24 treatments I can do so many things I haven’t been capable of doing for many years! Not to mention that my pain level went from a steady 7-8 around the clock down to a minimal 1-2!! That’s absolutely amazing after all the back surgeries I’ve had!! Genesis is a very welcoming and relaxing place to be. The treatment is very successful and had helped me so much. My hands used to always fall asleep and my neck would be tensed up, since I have done treatment that’s all stopped. The way it works does not hurt you and releases pressure on nerves as well as treats  compressed, herniated, and bulging disc. It’s a great resource to rehydrate your spine and avoid surgery. I went in with severe pain in my right arm due to two bulging discs in my neck. I couldn’t sleep in my bed for a couple months before trying the spinal decompression and was desperately trying to avoid surgery. Dr. Dean K. Parsons, D.C.

Dr. Parsons began his experience with Chiropractic treatment, after being in a car accident that injured his neck, mid and lower back. After approximately 3 months of decreasing treatment, he was able to return to all of his physical activities without pain. Dr. Parsons has continued to utilize Chiropractic treatment till this day as he continues to stay quite active.

After graduating college with a Music Education degree and a minor in Life-Earth Sciences, Dr. Parsons began his working career as a Band Director and classroom teacher in the middle/junior high school level. Wanting more of a challenge, Dr. Parsons decided to go into medicine. After completing his pre-med training, he weighed his options of which field of medicine to go into and decided to pursue the natural and holistic approach that he found in Chiropractic.

Dr. Parsons graduated from Texas Chiropractic College and began practicing in Houston, Texas before moving to San Antonio, Texas in 1991. Dr. Parsons began in Family Chiropractic care and then had the great opportunity to work in multi-disciplinary clinics alongside with Primary Care doctors, P.A.s, Sports Medicine and Orthopedic physicians, Neurologists, Physiatry and Rehab physicians as well as Pain Management before joining the team at Genesis Back & Neck.

After working with all of these medical providers through patient consultations and inter-office referrals, Dr. Parsons has experienced the thought processes of how the different disciplines within the medical community is trained to look at, diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. Parsons is bringing his extensive experience and expertise to join the Genesis Back & Neck team of doctors in June of 2023 in Boerne, Texas, to focus on the most technologically advanced state of the art True Spinal Decompression to provide a natural alternative to people suffering with back and neck pain through the body’s own healing and rehabilitative powers to achieve a pain free lifestyle.
